Solimar Beach is a surfer haven. The breaks and the ocean temperature are just right for a great day of surfing. It is one of the popular venues in Ventura County for surfing classes. A a two-hour surfing class in Solimar Beach costs $125 per session inclusive of board, wetsuit and rash guard. You can take the classes as a group or you can opt for private lessons. The surfing classes in Solimar Beach are handled by experienced surfers and water sports enthusiasts who are also adequately trained in first aid and water rescue.

Solimar Beach is also a regular venue for surf camps during the summer. The minimum age to join is seven years old. In the Solimar Beach surf camp, kids are taught not only about the basics of surfing but also about caring for the environment, helping the local community, safety measures while in the water, and surfing etiquette.
